Amy Huang, MD

Dr. Amy Huang is a dermatologist specializing in general dermatology, with special expertise in pediatric dermatology and skin of color. Dr. Huang received her medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine, where she coordinated a clinical trial for a topical treatment for psoriasis, and was awarded the William Montagna, M.D. Award for Excellence in Dermatological Research. After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Huang pursued a yearlong research fellowship at SUNY Downstate in Pediatric Dermatology, where she coordinated more than ten major dermatology clinical trials and treated pediatric dermatology patients. She completed her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Dr. Huang is the author of 25+ manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, including pediatric, cosmetic, surgical and general dermatology, and has won multiple medical student awards in essay writing. She received her undergraduate degree at Columbia University, where she was involved in medical research and community service, and was awarded the Presidential Award for Top 10 in Community Service for the NYC College Service Challenge. A longtime painter who practices dermatology with a creative mind, Dr. Huang is dedicated to compassionate patient care and caring for underserved communities. She is an active member of a number of professional medical organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Medical Association.
