Jeuveau (Newtox) In New Jersey

Jeuveau, also known as Newtox, is one of the newest injectable cosmetic treatments on the market. Similar to Botox, Dysport, and other popular injectables derived from botulinum toxin, it was FDA-approved in 2019 for the treatment of glabellar lines (vertical worry lines that develop between the eyebrows, sometimes also referred to as “11s”).

Jeuveau is also commonly used off-label to smooth wrinkles and worry lines in many other areas of the face. When expertly administered, it can be particularly effective in the elimination of dynamic wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movements (11s, horizontal forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, etc.). Advanced Jeuveau treatments can also address chin dimples and under-eye wrinkles, enhance lips, define the jawline, lift brows, and more.

At Dermatology Institute and Laser Center in New Jersey, Dr. Ros and her exceptional team are renowned for their expertise with injectable treatments and their ability to achieve natural-looking results for patients with a wide variety of different cosmetic goals. How Jeuveau Works

Like Botox, Jeuveau is derived from the neurotoxic protein botulinum toxin and is classified as a neuromodulator. It interrupts the communication between nerves and muscles in the face and allows facial muscles to relax, effectively preventing the development of new or deeper wrinkles. Existing wrinkles and lines are smoothed and softened, contributing to an overall more youthful appearance. The results of Jeuveau injections can last for several months.

  • You are in good health overall.
  • You want to address mild to severe facial lines and wrinkles.

You may not be a good candidate for Jeuveau if:

  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to become pregnant.

If Dr. Ros determines that you are not a suitable candidate for Jeuveau injections, she will suggest an alternative treatment option to help you achieve your cosmetic goals.

What To Expect From Treatment

The first step in achieving smoother, younger-looking skin with Jeuveau is to set up a consultation at Dermatology Institute and Laser Center. Dr. Ros will take the time to understand your treatment goals in-depth and develop a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve them.

Jeuveau injections are administered on-site at our state-of-the-art clinic and typically take about 15-20 minutes, depending on the scope of the treatment and the treatment area. Follow-up appointments may be recommended to fine-tune initial outcomes and/or maintain natural-looking results over time.

Recovery and Results

There is little to no downtime required after Jeuveau treatments, and most patients can return directly to their daily activities as soon as they leave our clinic. Rarely, mild redness or bruising may occur at one or more injection sites, which should clear up within a few days.

Most patients notice results within 2-3 days after treatment (often much sooner), and the final outcome should be evident within 7-10 days. Jeuveau may be administered as a standalone procedure or in combination with other cosmetic treatments such as dermal fillers or plastic surgery.
