XEOMIN

Xeomin is an injectable treatment used to relax facial muscles and soften expression lines. Xeomin is a medication that falls into the category of neuromodulators, along with Botox, Dysport, and the latest addition, Jeuveau. Dermatologists use neuromodulators to minimize the appearance of some types of wrinkles, including crow’s feet, frown lines, and horizontal forehead wrinkles.

Like Botox and Dysport, Xeomin contains botulinum type A, which blocks nerve activity in select muscles. Unlike Botox and Dysport, Xeomin does not contain proteins that may make the product ineffective for a small number of patients – which means that if you do not get the results you are looking for from Dysport and Botox, Xeomin may be more effective for you.

With Xeomin, the goal of treatment is to soften facial expressions, working on muscles that cause working on frown lines, crow’s feet and horizontal forehead lines – with the goal of treatment to administer the precise amount of the medication to minimize wrinkles without creating a “frozen” look to the face. . Results of Xeomin can be seen right away and continue to improve over time. Duration of results is similar to that of Botox or Dysport, lasting approximately 3-6 months before a touch-up treatment is needed.
